Last week I got good news! My Protein was down to 312. They are keeping me in the hospital until it is all gone. So I am currently on my 24 hr urine test. But my probelm is I am so worried that it is going to be up or stil there. The resident thinks if it keeps going down then this week it would be gone. But some reason I have a feeling it wont be. :(( I dont know why I think this. everything is great blood work, sonograms, BPs. everything.
But if my protein is gone and my BP is good then I get to go home. But I am so worried, which I am sure not helping me at all, but so worried it is going to still be their if not higher. I have tried to do everything the same as I have done in the past. But of course there is nothing that tells me what I am doing to make it go away. However I cut eggs out of my breakfast. I still eat them just not every day like I was when it was going up. That is the only difference. Today is to long and tomorrow will have the news early if not at least before lunch. hopefully I sleep late. lol or get the news early. |

| It's so hard not to be anxious! I had anxiety about my pregnancy the entire time. Some studies have shown a correlation between anxiety and pregnancy outcome though, so try as hard as you can. I hope you get good news tomorrow! |

| Good thing is that many doctors will not deliver based on elevated protein alone. |

I feel like I just read my own post! I was just in the hospital a week ago (for 2 weeks). The only reason I was admitted was becauswe of my high protein level which was 560. I had a repeat 24 hr urine and it went down lower to 370 or something like that. Then had another one repeated and went back up to 486.
Again, no bp issues at all, bp was great, baby looked great, no other symptoms either. A kidney specialist was brought in to check any underlying issues and everything came back negative as well as blood tests. So I am right with you. I was so anxious and thought I would put up a fight if they were going to release me and things werent good-but they were. Just that protein still hanging around.
I do have mild preeclampsia but no other symptoms. Got diagnosed at 25 weeks. Still feeling pretty good. But being watched under very close eye by my ob, and was sent home with monitoring bp and weight & a question system thing that gets sent into nurses every day. You could request that be done depending on your insurance plan or whatt not.
Hang in there! Youre doing great but I definitely understand your worry, I was in your same shoes just within a week ago. You can do this! ;) And yes, I asked my dr he wouldnt deliver on protein alone, UNLESS it got very high or doubled or something like that. But in the meantime, no! :) Hope that helps! |

| I am not worried about being delivered early for protein or for any reason. I am pretty sure that I am going to make it to full term or at least make it to two weeks till. My problem is I have been here for about six weeks and I have not changed that much but they will not let me go home until the protein is gone. and It is not gone. I got my results back this morning about 6:30am and it was 332. I cried myself to sleep, finally got to sleep about 8 and then the new set of nurses came in. But I am not worried about delivery at all. I just want to go home and if I am this stable and I have such normal BP why wont they let me go home. My last two were not severe and I am pretty sure this one will not get severe I am sure it will stay stable. |

| Thank you for your replies. I have been here about six weeks, with nothing but a few headaches and I am sure they are from crying or being aggervated cuz I have been here. My Bp is pretty normal every once in a while it is a little elevated but not to bad. it stays pretty much under 140s/80s. I have no swellen. I have lost 11 pounds in the whole pregnacy and just now starting to gain weight back. so far I have only gained 2 pounds back. All of my blood work is just fine. I am however on iron pills which I have never had with any other pregnancy. But I hear is very normal with preg. I am so sure that I will make it to full term or maybe I will two weeks before due date. I wish the drs would listen to me when i tell them that but they are still convinced I might deliver early or get severe but I feel like I know me better then they do. but they feel like they know the disease better. but I am me and I know how it has been with me! |
